Diocese of Mumias Celebrates Environment Day with Tree Planting

As part of our strategic objective on environmental care, the Anglican Diocese of Mumias joined the global community in celebrating World Environment Day.
The Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Wandera, led the celebrations at ACK St. James Butobe Parish, where 300 trees were planted.
The Diocese partnered with Equity Bank, which donated 5,000 tree seedlings being distributed across various parishes.
Referencing Genesis 1:25, the Bishop urged Christians to care for God’s creation as faithful stewards.
During the visit, Bishop Wandera also met and prayed with families in a moment of thanksgiving.
