51 Admitted to Holy Communion in Joyous Shibale Music Extravaganza
ACK St. Paul’s Shibale Parish was filled with joy today as 51 Christians were admitted to Holy Communion by diocesan bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Wandera. During the service, Bishop Wandera delivered a sermon based on Mark 10:17, encouraging the congregation to let go of anything that might hinder their path to heaven.
The service featured a lively music extravaganza, with various choirs showcasing their talent in worship. Participating choirs included St. Paul’s Shibale, the host,Bishop James Hannington Cathedral Choir , St. Mark’s Bubole, St. Mark’s Riwo, and Alfajiri,an interdenominational choir.
In a show of generosity, the congregation contributed over KES 317,000 to support the parish’s music ministry. Earlier in the day, the celebration kicked off with the official opening of a modern ablution block, led by the bishop. The new facility is part of the parish’s ongoing development, which also includes a perimeter wall and a beautiful gate.
