Faithful Service Honored, Ven. Canon Lutta Retires with Thanksgiving and Celebration.

Today, family, relatives, the church community, and friends gathered at ACK St. Matthew’s Church, Mung’ang’a Parish, for a heartfelt farewell and thanksgiving service for the retiring Venerable Canon Alex Makalama Lutta.

Beautiful hymns filled the church as Christians honored the long-serving priest, who had dedicated his life to ministry. In a touching show of gratitude, gifts were presented, and a celebratory cake was cut in his honor.

The diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Wandera, delivered a sermon from Acts 20:17-38, reflecting on how the church responds with love, sorrow, and blessings when a faithful servant of God departs. The congregation, moved by the message, expressed deep appreciation for Canon Lutta’s years of service.
