“Fear the lord and serve him in sincerity” Bishop urges Christians

The Diocesan Annual Family Thanksgiving (DAFT) executive committee convened at Bishop James Hannington Cathedral to strategize for this year’s event and discuss the way forward, including plans for pastoral visits.

While addressing the congregation, the diocesan bishop Rt Rev Dr. Joseph Wandera thanked all Christians for supporting God’s work in the diocese. He emphasized the importance of family unity in serving God. Reading from Joshua 24, he urged families to fear the Lord and serve Him with sincerity. He encouraged parents to teach their children how to worship, give generously both in time and resources and remain obedient to God’s word.

In a spirit of generosity, the congregation raised KSh 156,060 towards the DAFT docket. This, combined with the previous account balance of KSh 325,000, brought the total to KSh 481,060. Generous pledges were made by Christians to support the diocesan family day.
