ACK Mumias SACCO Among Beneficiaries of World Bank Grant

The ACK Diocese of Mumias SACCO has emerged among the top four SACCOs in Kakamega County selected to receive a World Bank grant under the National Agriculture Value Chain Development Project (NAVCDP). The grant aims to support 58 groups from Mumias Central Ward through the Community Driven Development Committee.

These groups engage in various agricultural projects, including poultry farming, dairy farming, beekeeping, avocado farming, and banana growing. The funding is expected to enhance their productivity and economic sustainability.

This milestone follows a three-day training program at ACK Mumias Guest House, where SACCO executives from Kakamega County received vital insights on cooperative management. The training was officially closed today by Mrs. Jesca Weku Wesonga, Chief Officer for Livestock Production, Veterinary Services, and Fisheries Development, alongside Mr. Billy Otieno, Chief Officer for Cooperatives and Environment.
