Bishop John Orina Omangi Visits Mumias Diocese.

The Diocese of Mumias is delighted to welcome the Rt Revd John Orina Omangi, Bishop of ACK Upper Southern Nyanza Diocese -Kisii. Bishop Omangi arrived yesterday, September 18th, 2024, to lead a retreat of ordination candidates and will stay until Sunday, September 22nd 2024.

Bishop Omangi will preach at the making of deacons and ordination of priests, which will take place on Sunday 22nd of this month. His presence marks an important occasion for the diocese, as it looks forward to his leadership and spiritual guidance.

Bishop Omangi, who was enthroned in August 2023, is the first bishop of the newly formed ACK Diocese of Upper Southern Nyanza, which was previously part of the ACK Diocese of Southern Nyanza. His visit to Mumias symbolizes the deepening relationships between the dioceses and the shared mission to serve their communities.
