Bishop Visits ACK Ucheka and Chebuyusi Churches

The diocesan bishop, Rt Rev Dr. Joseph Wandera, visited the mission areas of Navakholo and Ucheka to assess the progress of ongoing church projects. He was accompanied by Canons Esau Odanga and Gard Wambunya.

The first stop was at ACK Ucheka Church and School, where the bishop was warmly welcomed by pupils and teachers. With the school still in its infancy, hosting 78 pupils, his visit was a significant moment of reassurance. He prayed for the young learners, blessing them and their teachers as they worked towards building a strong foundation for education in the area.

The bishop symbolically blessed the land where a new building for ACK Ucheka Church will be constructed. Additionally, plans were shared for the construction of an extra classroom at the school to strengthen its capacity to serve the community.

With his team they proceeded to ACK Chebuyusi Church, where they inspected the progress of the church building. The plastering of the walls was at an advanced stage, with only a few finishing touches remaining. The installation of window panes is set to begin soon.
