Diocese Hosts Liturgy Workshop

On August 6th and 7th, the Canon Saul and Joyce Abala Resource Center hosted a vibrant two-day liturgy enrichment training at the diocese headquarters. The workshop, inaugurated by Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Wandera, began with a thought-provoking sermon on the Transfiguration of Jesus. Bishop Wandera emphasized that God’s presence is often found in the ordinary moments of life.

Facilitated by Revd Dr. Enoch Harun Opuka, the workshop offered a comprehensive exploration of Anglican liturgy. Attendees immersed themselves in practical exercises, including the celebration of Holy Communion, while learning about the history and apostolic succession of the Anglican Church.

On the second day, the Bishop of Mombasa,Rt. Revd Alphonce Baya, shared about life and ministry in his diocese. Revd Mulayo also led a session on the significance of music in worship.

As the workshop concludes, participants are left enriched and inspired, equipped with new knowledge to enhance their worship practices and deepen their congregational engagement.
