Diocese Launches Youth Week
Diocesan Bishop Joseph Wandera officially launched Youth week today at the diocesan prayer garden,an annual event that seeks to involve more young people in Christian outreach and community services. The event commenced with a symbolic tree planting exercise, where Bishop Wandera led by planting the first tree alongside enthusiastic youths. He encouraged the youth to extend this environmental commitment by planting trees in their homes and parishes.
Bishop Wandera expressed his gratitude to the diocesan youth for participating in the exercise as twenty trees were planted during the event, marking the beginning of a week dedicated to service and sustainability.
Youth Week features a robust lineup of activities aimed at fostering community spirit and spiritual growth. The week includes mission and evangelism, hospital visitations, charity work, a KAYO prayer day, virtual Bible study, clean-ups in churches and marketplaces, and a youth worship experience at Namulungu.
