Family Thanksgiving in the Diocese of Mumias raises Ksh 17.3 million.

Faithfuls of the Diocese of Mumias converged at the Bishop James Hannington Cathedral for their Annual Family thanksgiving service, graced by the diocesan Bishop Joseph Wandera. Clergy from various ACK dioceses joined the service , united in gratitude. During the service, the diocese launched its first ever diocesan anthem.

Ven. Canon Jonathan Kabiru of Nairobi Diocese delivered a poignant sermon on the essence of thanksgiving, urging Christians to embrace a spirit of gratitude in all aspects of life.

Advocate Ken Echesa was the chief guest of the event. Other leaders in attendance were former Member of Parliament for Mumias East ,Hon. Benjamin Washiali, Deputy Governor of Kakamega County Hon. Ayub Savula, and Kakamega County Women Representative Elsie Muhanda, among others.

A highlight of the event was the generous support from Christians totaling to over 17.3 million Kenyan shillings, dedicated to supporting the diocese’s ministry
