Holy Vows, Mumias Diocese Celebrates Ordination of New Clergy.

At the Bishop James Hannington Cathedral, the Diocese of Mumias gathered in reverence for a momentous worship service during which several people were made deacons and priests.The pews were filled to capacity as Rt Revd Dr Joseph Wandera ordained new deacons and priests. The guest preacher was Rt Rev John Orina Omangi from Upper Southern Nyanza, whose impactful sermon, “If you are chosen by God, you must deliver,” resonated powerfully with the congregation.

Joyful song and dance celebrated the newly ordained leaders, as the community of worship witnessed the occassion.

A key highlight of the service was the unveiling of a solar power initiative, promising to end power outages during worship. Thanks to the generous support from partners, the cathedral embraced a sustainable future. Plans for a WiFi network further underscored the church’s commitment to connecting with the community.
