Welcome to Upendo Craft
Upendo Craft Center is a tailoring workshop established by the diocese under the Mothers Union Department. The workshop deals in clerical garments, school uniforms as well as general cloths for individuals and groups of people. It is located at the diocesan headquarters with two employees and several casual workers.
Upendo craft center was established with two objectives;
i. To generate income for the department to enhance sustainability of the department’s activities. The center is a profit making venture and records profits over time. These profits are used to fund activities of the Mothers’ Union department as they endeavor to provide a holistic transformation within the diocese. As such, such activities become more sustainable.<br>
ii. To enhance skills acquisition in tailoring. The center provides a hands on training for community members who wish to pursue tailoring as a source of income. In so doing, beneficiaries are able to start their own workshops and earn a living through the workshops.
